# SunLoop (demo)

> Demo store for SunLoop, an AIPhoundry test product for solar installers. Not for sale.

Every system you installed, on one screen, against what you promised.

SunLoop runs a solar installer's business from the first lead to twenty years of monitoring: incentives with their sources, quotes, jobs, parts orders, and a gateway that reads every major inverter and battery brand. This page runs on synthetic test data: checkout is switched off and nothing ships.

This site works for AI agents as well as people. Everything below is public: no account or API key is needed to use it.

## Products

- [SunLoop Gateway SLG-1](https://solar.aiphoundry.com/api/store/products/prd_q7cgd3jdacqg9ggj): $349.00 (id `prd_q7cgd3jdacqg9ggj`). Demo: shown, never sold. Monitoring gateway for installers: reads the inverter, battery and both service legs, sends 5-minute data over LTE-M, Wi-Fi or Ethernet. With 2 paired 200 A CTs, a Class 2 transformer and 10 years of LTE-M data. Needs the SunLoop service, $5 a site a month. Demo: checkout off, nothing ships.

## Ordering as an AI agent

1. Check first: `POST https://solar.aiphoundry.com/api/store/orders` with `{"product_id", "quantity", "dry_run": true}`. Nothing is written; the answer says whether it can be ordered now, the total in cents, and what stops it.
2. Place it: the same call without `dry_run`, with `email`, `ship_to` ({name, line1, line2?, city, region?, postal_code, country}) and an `Idempotency-Key` header. Retrying with the same key returns the same order, never a second one.
3. Pay without a person: add `"payment": {"token": "spt_..."}`, a Stripe shared payment token your user granted you for this seller. Without a token, the answer has `payment.checkout_url` for a person to pay.
4. Keep the returned `token`: `GET /api/store/orders/{order_id}?token=...` follows the order.

Limits for agents on this store: up to $500.00 an order, $2,000.00 a day in all, and 20 units at a time.

Payments are not switched on yet: orders can be checked with `dry_run` but not placed.

Every unit is built by the founder's manufacturer from a design revision that a named engineer signed off, locked to that revision when the order is paid.

## API

- [OpenAPI description](https://solar.aiphoundry.com/.well-known/openapi.json): every public call, with its fields
- [MCP server](https://solar.aiphoundry.com/api/mcp): Streamable HTTP; tools get_store, get_product, preview_order, place_order, get_order
- [Store as JSON](https://solar.aiphoundry.com/api/store): the site and its products, prices in cents

## Optional

- Can I buy one? Not yet. This is a demo of the AIPhoundry flow with synthetic test results. Checkout is off and no units exist.
- Who is it for? Residential solar installers. The installer buys the gateway, a licensed electrician fits it beside the main panel, and the homeowner gets a read-only view of their own system.
- What does the service cost? $5 a site a month, billed to the installer, including 10 years of LTE-M data. The installer software is $499 a month. Cancel any time in the app.
- Can I see the installer app? Yes. sunloop-demo.aiphoundry.com shows a fictional installer, Golden Hour Solar, with leads, quotes, jobs and three monitored homes. The data is synthetic and frozen.
- What happens when a system underperforms? The gateway's daily production is compared with the quote's promise. Below 80% for 7 days, the installer gets an alert before the homeowner notices.
- Is it a utility meter? No. It is accurate to about 2% from 20 to 200 A, which is good for monitoring but not for billing.
- Is it certified? In this demo, no: the UL 61010-1 listing and carrier approval are open conditions before any real sale.
- Where would it ship? The US only.
